Ratings System

Published by madnessmark

B-Movie: This is the highest rating for a bad movie. These are what you would classify as so-bad-they’re-funny movies. Sometimes they are just a bigger budget away from being a great movie in their own right. (Examples: Death Race 2000, Evil Dead)

C-Movie: These are your average bad movies. They have some big problems that could be solved, but those problems can also be funny depending on how you look at it. They also have a few laughable or agitating mistakes such as boomics in shots or certains scenes edited together poorly. (Examples: Laser Mission, Santa Clause Conquers the Martians)

Z-Movie: These movies are BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD. Not ‘ha ha’ bad, just plain BAD. They are horrible monstrocities of cinema and barely deserve the title of movie. (Examples: Manos the Hands of Fate)

LOL… this is a great system. ;) Where would you put “Phantom of the Paradise” I wonder? It’s my least favorite movie of all time, and goes squarely in my personal “Z” category.
